When Neil Lewis took over the Alternative Cruise Parking business, his first project was to change the name and create a new brand to relaunch his new cruise ship visitor parking service. Having chosen the new name of Penguin Parking, he turned to Evolve Websites for help with the rest.
Neil came across Evolve in a Chamber of Commerce magazine article so approached me to create a new logo, website and business cards to give the company a completely new look and feel to go with its new name.
With the name already chosen, we needed to come up with a brand which was memorable, eye-catching and of course, reflected the new name.
A key consideration was that the customers are cruise ship visitors so they generally only go one cruise per year, meaning they may only use Penguin Parking Services once a year. With this in mind we needed a way to keep the company at the front of customer’s minds.
The penguin logo gives the new name a strong visual identity, making it stand out from other car parking companies, while integrating the P from Penguin into a car parking-style sign makes the purpose of the business unmistakable.
The vibrant purple colour chosen for the branding, which is used across the new website and business cards, really stands out, helping people to recognise the company immediately and easily.
